This has been a year of upheaval for me. Lots of stress and change… and I don’t like change! Fortunately, I’ve also been through a discovery process. And one of the things I’ve discovered is relaxing, nourishing Dead Sea Salts. I love that I can do this at home, too.
With Dead Sea salts, I can immerse my whole body in a soothing muscle soak or relax with a foot soak while watching a favorite show with my kids. (We’re loving watching through All Creatures Great & Small again, while we wait for the new season to be released.)
One of the things that changed for me this year was the structure of two direct sales companies I had been with for years. It was heartbreaking to go through. If this has happened to you in the last couple of years, I’m there with you! Due to these changes, a friend introduced me to another DS business and I fell in love with Jordan Essentials, which is where I learned about the Dead Sea salts.
Why Dead Sea Salts?
Ethically harvested from the Dead Sea in Israel, these salts are widely used to support tired, achy, and sore muscles… making them a perfect gift for any Mom!
Dead Sea salts also detoxify the skin and remove impurities, giving skin a fresh, younger appearance; they deliver magnesium and twenty other minerals (more than Epsom salts) deep into the skin, and can help with skin issues as well as muscle cramps.
Dead Sea salts are available in unscented, or in a variety of scents. They receive essential oils well, so you can take the unscented salts and create unlimited combinations by using your own oils, or choose from 4 soaks we have already blended with essential oils, or one soak that is scented with phthalate-free fragrance.
More minerals than Epsom salts…
Epsom salts contain six minerals. Not bad, but Dead Sea salts contains 21 minerals, including:
- Magnesium – combats stress, helps with fluid retention, slows the aging of skin, and calms the nervous system
- Potassium – energizes the body and helps to balance skin moisture
- Calcium – reduces water retention, increases circulation, and strengthens bones & nails
- Bromide – eases muscle stiffness & brings relaxation
Dead Sea salts are Magnesium Chloride, harvested from the sea water.
How to use Dead Sea Salts

Four ways you can use the Dead Sea soaks are:
- Upgrade your bath! The therapeutic properties of Dead Sea salts have been used for centuries to restore and rejuvenate the body. Add ¼ – ½ cup to your bath to soothe aches & pains, rest easier, and boost your Magnesium levels.
- Make a Foot Soak! When you don’t have a bathtub, or the time for a full bath, a foot soak is an easy way to add wellness to your day. Add 2 Tablespoons to a bowl or pan of warm water and soak for 10-15 minutes. This will soothe sore feet, soften dry skin, and bring a sense of calm.
- Soothe Dandruff! What?? Yes, Dead Sea salts, full of minerals, work as a natural exfoliant and cleanser. Add 1 Tablespoon to your shampoo bottle, shake it up, and gently massage into your scalp. Rinse well, then finish with a nourishing conditioner… Like ours!! 🙂
- Soothe your nails & cuticles! Dead Sea salts have natural antifungal properties that make them a wonderful option to keep your nails healthy. Add 1 teaspoon to a bowl of warm water & soak your nails for 5 minutes. Dry your hands then use our Lotion Bar or our Shea Body Butter to moisturize.
Tips:
- Use a water temperature that is just a little over your body temperature. You want the water to feel warm enough to open your pores, but not too hot for maximum absorption.
- Soak for 15-20 minutes, then apply our Lotion Bar or Shea Body Butter.
- A stainless-steel pan or dish is better than plastic for your foot soak.
